The big problem in Murcia
There are several ways to
get around a city, but if we are living in Murcia, we cannot choose as much as we want.
It’s a big problem for
people, because there are a lot of things that we need to be well connected to other
places.
Actually, we all know that
an underground like in others cities would be impossible , because we have the
most difficult ground, because there are
problems with water and archaeological remain. But the worst thing has
always been a bad political will.
Whereas in cities like
Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, they have a good transport system for outskirts,
and their citizens can go to work or live in different places, we always depend
on our cars, on limited train service, some buses with difficult schedules, an only tram line which covers a
short distance and a very expensive taxi service.
For example, maybe if we
had more trains to the beach, we could live there. In fact, people from Madrid
can live in mountain villages because they have the best rail system for
outskirts, with large and varied schedules.
Nowadays, we can have a
little of hope, we finally have a new airport, small but new, and some day we
will have finished the famous AVE, though that’s another story.
